Circular economy consulting that ends in a working pilot.

Most circular-economy strategies stop at a slide. Habitat's circular economy consulting maps where your materials and waste actually go, picks the two or three changes that pay back, and runs the pilot with you — for companies, NGOs and municipalities across Kosovo and the region. It sits next to our carbon footprint work, so the emissions effect is measured, not assumed.

Why now

Waste is becoming a cost line.

Buyers ask about it

EU customers' supplier questionnaires and EcoVadis assessments ask how you handle materials and waste — not just energy.

Materials drive Scope 3

Purchased goods are usually the largest part of a company's value-chain footprint. Using less, or using recycled input, is where reductions come from.

Programmes are funded

Donors and development programmes in the Western Balkans back circular pilots — if the proposal shows a measurable result.

Proof

Circular work we have run.

Habitat supported the REKO circular-economy fair and built the Circular Economy Expo 2026 identity and website for Rilindja Gjelbër, and ran an upcycling workshop with Shkolla e Gjelbër.

How it works

Four steps, no surprises.

STEP 01MapWe walk the site and the books: inputs, scrap, packaging, returns, and what each costs today.
STEP 02ChooseTwo or three changes ranked by payback and by emissions effect — nothing that needs a new factory.
STEP 03PilotOne stream, one site, a clear before-and-after measure agreed up front.
STEP 04ScaleA plan to roll the result out, and the numbers to put in a report or a funding proposal.
FAQ

Frequently asked.

What does a circular economy consultant do?
A circular economy consultant traces how materials flow through a business, finds where value is lost as waste, and designs changes — reuse, repair, take-back, recycled inputs, by-product sales — that keep materials in use longer. At Habitat the work ends in a measured pilot, not a strategy deck.
Is circular economy consulting only for manufacturers?
No. Retailers, hotels, event organisers, schools and municipalities all have material flows worth redesigning. The method is the same; the streams differ.
How do you measure the result?
Before and after on the agreed stream — tonnes, cost and the greenhouse-gas effect calculated to the GHG Protocol, using country-specific factors.
Can this support a funding application?
Yes. A mapped baseline and a measured pilot are exactly what programme officers ask for. We write the numbers so they can be checked.
